Get paperless bills with an online account

Good Energy was set up to tackle climate change. And, by offering the choice of clean power sourced from wind, sun and water, we’re helping you make a difference too. But inevitably, running a business comes with some environmental impact, which we’re always working to reduce.

One thing we’d like your help with is cutting down the amount of paper bills we send out. At the moment, we’re sending out 395,000 bills a year, which is equivalent to us using 79 tonnes of C02 or driving 405,000 miles. If we stop posting out bills, it would be like taking 56 cars off the road.  Here are two different options for receiving your bills instead:

Option 1: Download our app 

You can download the new Good Energy app for free from the App Store or Google Play. Once you’re all set up, use the app to: 

  • View your current and past bills at any time and make payments through the app
  • Submit meter readings using pre-stored meter details
  • Submit Feed-in Tariff payments if you have solar panels and use us as your administrator.

Once you’ve registered for the app, go to settings to set your billing preferences. You can choose whether to receive bills by email or set up reminders to let you know when they’re ready to view within the app.

Option 2: Sign up to our online portal

View your bills by setting up a Good Energy online account at myaccount.goodenergy.mainui.com. You can also access the online portal from the Good Energy homepage, by clicking the ‘Customer login’ button at the top right of the screen.

Once you’ve signed into your account,

  • go to ‘Update your details’ and choose ‘Change statement delivery’ from the drop-down menu.
  • Then just select the option to have your bills emailed to you and click ‘save changes’.

If you still want to receive paper bills through the post, then you don’t need to do anything. But we’d encourage you to either download the app or register for the online portal, if you’re able to. This will give you instant access to your account and allow you to update your contact details and preferences whenever you need to.
